In mid-March, Habitat suspended all volunteer opportunities due to Covid-19.  The re-start of the 2020 Habitat recycle house in the Douglass Community in east Plano officially began on Saturday June 6th.  We are now under Construction Operations Protocols for Covid-19.  This means wearing face coverings, keeping social distancing, and limiting the total number of personnel on the job site to 13. The primary task for the day was to apply primer paint to the exterior of the house.

Some good news! We are moving forward in opening our church home.  Beginning this next Tuesday, May 26th, we will celebrate public daily Masses.  This does not include any public weekend or Sunday Masses yet. Our Saturday evening Mass will continue only to be live streamed, until we hear otherwise from the Diocese.  To find the schedule for our events as well as other important information. Announcement from the Bishop expected soon on how to slowly open again. This week's updates include Lovepacs Drive By Food Drive results, meeting with Project Manager and Building Committee will take place virtually on May 16th, Gala postponed until next year.

Thanks to all of you that joined us virtually for our Holy Week Liturgies. We heard many wonderful comments and it is important to pray with one another. Because of this, we will be doing the same for our Saturday evening Vigil Masses each week at 6:00 p.m. We will also be live streaming a special Holy Hour for Divine Mercy this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. 

I pray that the celebration of the mysteries of our faith will deepen in our hearts at this Holy Season of Easter.  Even though we are separated physically, we remain one in the Risen Christ!

The current circumstances and problems associated with the Corona Virus are difficult. We are still moving through the quiet time of Lent as we approach the festival of Easter. We are challenged to walk with the silent and suffering Christ, and to hope in the healing and promises that only the Lord can give us.

Sundays 9:00 a.m. - Livestream Mass with Bishop Edward J. Burns (English) - Cathedral Guadalupe 10:00 a.m. - Livestream Mass with Jesús Belmontes (Español) - Cathedral Guadalupe (after the livestream the recorded masses will be available at the same links)

Bishop Burns has issued a "Shelter in Place" policy for all diocesan parishes (no matter what county they are in). This means that until April 3rd, all parish campuses will be shut down. There will be no public services and the staff will be working from home. 

Knights of Columbus 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been postponed until a later, undetermined date. Due to the uncertainty of the duration on the Coronavirus COVID-19 shutdown, we have decided to reschedule the planned May 1 golf tournament. Please watch for future updates. READ MORE...

We are actively praying and discerning as to what the spring game plan might look like concerning faith formation sessions, 1st Communion, Confirmation, etc. There are many meetings taking place down at the Diocese and in our own parish. Once we know more, we will let you know as soon as possible. All of this can be sad and scary at the same time. However, there is always a silver lining and in this case, it could be a true life changer. Please hear me out... 

Now more than ever, it is critical that we turn to the Lord with prayer, fasting and almsgiving during this Lenten season. Please use this extra time and opportunity to reflect, pray and study.
