For Confirmation Contact Bruce BaumannReceiving First Eucharist is a two-year preparation process and typically begins in the first grade with the reception of the Sacrament in the spring of the second-grade year. Since the family is the heart of faith in our Domestic Church (our homes), you will register and participate in the Family Faith Formation program. By registering your child in the Family Faith Formation, you are committing to attending these monthly meetings and completing the Family Faith Packets to help prepare your child for this Sacrament. Children in their First year (typically First Grade) will receive a workbook to complete and return in the spring of their first year.
Children in year 2 (typically 2nd grade) who have already participated in the Family Formation Program for one year are then ready for First Reconciliation and First Communion in the 2nd year. You would again register and participate in our Family Faith Formation program. There will be additional sacramental preparation material for the 2nd year of preparation that will provide a blended format of at home catechesis (online lessons) and in person workshops. This is not a separate program; it is only offered in addition with the Family Faith Formation. Participation both is required

Preparation for Confirmation of Youth
The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation typically takes place in the spring of a teen's 8th grade year (however, anyone older than that can also receive Confirmation with the adequate preparation). The Diocese requires a two year preparation process (usually 7th and 8th grade). Of course "faith formation" is a life-long process....so youth should be involved in faith formation sessions every year! For info related to this year's Confirmation weekend event, see the "forms" section.
7th and 8th grade Youth would need to be signed up for our Confirmation "Upper Room" program that occurs on Sunday evenings once a month. You can register for that under the "Family Formation" tab.
For teens who have not been in any faith formation for a while or who may need to be caught up on Baptism, 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion or Confirmation, please contact Bruce Baumann to inquire about our OCIY program.For more information about the process, please contact Bruce Baumann.
