Love Truck Mission Statement
Love Truck is an outreach ministry of The Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton whose mission is to respond to Jesus' call to assist our brothers and sisters in need. By providing food, clothing and other necessities, our parishioners are responding to Jesus' challenge to Love One Another.

Financial Contributions
Financial contributions can be placed in the Love Truck Collection Boxes which are located in the Welcome Center located in the narthex of the church across from the sanctuary, and in the FFC outside the gym entrance. There are also two annual collections. One in July/August for the Helping the Homeless program and one in November for the Christmas Program.
Donations can also be made through the Faith Direct using button below and putting LOVE TRUCK in the "notes" field or by mailing a check to the Business Office and write Love Truck in the memo section of your check.
The basic volunteer opportunity is our monthly collection weekends. We collect donated items to load onto trucks for delivery to various agencies in Plano and Dallas. There is some labor and lifting involved and we are mostly outdoors. Please dress accordingly and consider bringing drinking water in the warmer months.
There is no official sign-up, drop-ins are always welcome and shift leaders are always there to guide new volunteers. There is no need to contact us to ask if we need volunteers. We will never turn volunteers away.
Love Truck is always in need of safe environment cleared adults to help supervise the collection weekends (shift leaders). Shift Leaders commit ahead of time to being at the collection for a specific shift. If you are interested in becoming a shift leader, please e-mail or call us at below contact information.
Children are welcome but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. If a child under 13 is dropped off we will ask them to call their parents to come get them. Children 13 and over will be supervised by an adult while they are volunteering but Love Truck shift leaders will not be responsible for checking them in or out during the collection. Teens may use volunteer time toward service hours.

Love Truck supports the Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS)
The Plano Overnight Warming Station coalition was formed in 2018 to bring faith communities and agencies together who collaborate to provide a safe place for the homeless during extreme cold weather conditions. POWS is having a tremendous impact in our community by helping those who are homeless. It is heartwarming to see how appreciative these individuals are to have a warm place to stay along with a hot dinner and breakfast. Thank you so very much for your generosity.
We gratefully accept donated items for this program. Winter coats are collected in October and other identified needed items are collected in November and will be listed in weekly bulletin.
The Love Truck collection will take place from 9am to 11:30am on Saturday and Sunday in the South Parking Lot of the Seton Faith Formation Center. Do not leave donations unless volunteers are present collecting items.
