Whether you are new to our parish or exploring Faith Formation for the first time, we are excited to journey with you and your family. At Seton, our mission is to build strong Catholic families by helping children and parents grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ, rooted in prayer, the Sacraments, and family life.
Our Approach: Family Faith Formation
By our Baptism, we are called to grow in faith throughout our lives. Research and experience both show that faith is most deeply formed in the home, supported by the parish community. Our Family Faith Formation program is designed to:
Strengthen the domestic church
Help parents grow in confidence as faith leaders
Encourage prayer, conversation, and learning as a family
Support children as they encounter God’s grace in everyday life
First THings First: MassWeekly participation in Sunday Mass is the foundation of faith formation. Our Church calls the Eucharist the “Source and Summit” of our faith. It nourishes us spiritually and shapes our hearts over time. Mass may feel challenging at times, especially with young children, but regular participation builds habits, understanding, and appreciation that deepen as children grow.
Program Overview
We are honored to walk with your family during this important season of faith. If you have questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We are here to serve.
God bless, and welcome to the journey!
In the past, the “professionals” were usually other parent volunteers. Their efforts mattered, but nothing has the impact of faith lived at home. Think of it this way: eating well and exercising are the foundation of good health; taking a vitamin can help, but it can’t replace the basics.
Going to Mass and praying, learning, and talking about faith as a family are the foundation. Dropping your child off for a class is the vitamin. Both are good, but the foundation is what truly forms us.
Even when family faith life feels imperfect or inconsistent, it has far greater impact than a drop-off model alone. When parents genuinely try to live their faith, children are much more likely to embrace it too. Praying and learning together as a family truly makes the difference.
