Marla Kay Campbell, age 54, passed away on July 24, 2026 at her home in Plano, Texas, surrounded by family. Marla was an inspiration to everyone that knew her. We thank God for the time he gave us together, and for giving her the peaceful rest she deserves.
Marla was born April 6, 1972 in Perry, Oklahoma to Marvin and Arline Wagner. She graduated valedictorian from Moore High School and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University. Marla had a successful career of 32 years where she shined as an engineer and engineering manager.
Marla’s greatest joys were her husband, Greg, and their children, Sam and Alyssa. Marla treasured every moment they spent playing board games, conquering crosswords, rocking out at concerts, and exploring hiking trails. Her legacy survives in the vibrant memories and love she cultivated within her family.
Marla was an extraordinary musician. She played piano her entire life, and lent her beautiful voice to the church choir weekly. Her, Greg, and their friends performed in several bands where she sang lead vocals, played keyboard, and played electric guitar. She loved music and said it was the best hobby her and Greg ever had.
Marla is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Gregory, and her children, Alyssa and Sam. She is also survived by her father, Marvin Wagner; sister, Amy Nevius (Matt); and brothers, Mark Wagner (Kandie) and Wade Wagner (Ashley). Marla is preceded in death by her mother, Arline Wagner.
