ConfirmationSacrament preparation For YOuthThe celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation typically takes place in the spring of a teenager's 8th-grade year. The Diocese requires a two-year preparation process, typically during students' 7th and 8th grade years. For more information about the process, please contact the Faith Formation staff.
ConfiRmation Prep
7th- and 8th-grade youth preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation must register for the Confirmation Upper Room program, which meets once a month on Sunday evening. Registration for Upper Room takes place in the Fall. Please contact Beth Ann Apt at [email protected] for program details and to enroll your child.Confirmation Retreat
All second-year Confirmation students attend a weekend retreat at The Pines Catholic Camp. The Faith Formation Office will send you registration information for this retreat directly. High school teens preparing for Confirmation participate in the C.R.E.W. High School Retreat at DCYC (Dallas Catholic Youth Conference).Required Sacraments Prior to Confirmation
For youth who have not participated in Faith Formation or have not yet received their Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, and/or First Holy Communion, please contact Bruce Baumann to learn more about our OCIY (Order of Christian Initiation for Youth) program.
